About Us
Presence was established in 1999 and has been operating from an office within the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne ever since. Over the years we have built up considerable expertise and experience in online media design and development.
We operate in a variety of different markets, including websites, online learning, database integration and bespoke game development. We create value for our clients by using creative expertise and a deep understanding of cutting edge technology. We do not use technology because it's cool, or simply because we can.
We agree that you're expert in your business, that's why we use a proven phased development process in ours. This ensures that our solution will be appropriate and usable for you and your customers.
We are not tied to any one software solution and we do not resell any products. We develop bespoke new media products, and we utilise the best and most cost effective services to deliver our clients' requirements. Our work is flexible, elegant and functional.
The Team
Philip Lindsay
With over 8 years experience in the internet and new media sector, Phil has a thorough understanding of client and server-side web technology. Phil is also an enthusiastic advocate of web standards and accessibility. Phil is also mad about football, has an irrational fear of chocolate oranges and runs his own weblog and takes lots of photos.
Diane Lindsay
Diane joined the team in 2006 after spending several years crawling under desks in IT Support roles for various companies. Diane has an MSc in Computing and a BA in Business Studies, which she is finally putting to good use by helping to run Presence. Diane loves chocolate oranges.
Steve Rutherford
Steve has over 12 years experience working within the new media sector. He has strong illustration and design skills. Steve is enthusiastic about all things 'Flash' and loves a challenge. When not tinkering with ActionScript, Steve likes nothing more than to kick back and relax with an xbox controller in hand. Steve is currently ranked 5th in the world on the 1989 Sega classic 'Golden Axe'.
